Hi!
I just have successfully installed ASL in order to share my DSL- Connection with our LAN.
All the network devices seem to be set up correctly, but unfortunately, there are still some problems when pinging several internet- adresses.
The Problem: The status of the dsl-modem is representet by a green "up" and it also seems to work fine. I even can ping the adress of the "p-t-p", but no other addr in the internet.
Here some details:
- I Have eth0 connected to the local network with the static addr. 192.168.2.100
- The other device, eth1, doesn´t have an IP-addr ("ifconfig" told me so), but my dsl modem (ppp0) is connected to it and also seems to work.
ifconfig shows 2 adresses for my ppp0 - the adress of the modem itself and the "p-t-p"-ip-addr.
I can ping to both adresses, but not to any other ip- address in the internet (i.e. i tried to ping my default nameserver, 193.189.244.197)
In the "preference order" under "default gateway", my dsl- device is even on top of the list...
Does anyone of you have an idea how I can fix that problem?
