DSL problem/routing

Hi
I got a problem with my ASL 3.20. My DSL connection has been online, I were able to ping some hosts, but my clients couldn´t.

Masquerading and a DHCP server were running. When I rebooted my ASF, DSL couldn´t connect at the same config that I were able to connect some minutes before ( I importet the backup). 

Maybe someone could help me. Thanks   [:)]

    I got a problem with my ASL 3.20. My DSL connection has been online, I were able to ping some hosts, but my clients couldn´t. 
    For this, you must enable ICMP forwarding. By default it's disabled.

      
     DSL couldn´t connect at the same config that I were able to connect some minutes before 
    This's not clear... could u explain this better?

    Update:

    Now I have DSL (eth1) UP and I can do pings and the LiveUpdate.
    Masquerading is enabled: LAN_interface to DSL.
    Rules are enabled: Everything is allowed.

    BUT I can't connect with any client into the Internet. Really confusing is, that my MSN-Messenger CAN CONNECT, can send and receive!
    So, what's wrong with my configuration?!?

    Perhaps somebody knows a help-site with any example - configuration for DSL.

    let's go on in the discussion forum - this way all
    may benefit from it :-)

    Please check the PacketFilterLiveLog if you find any entries
    that your firewall tries to reach the root name servers (port 53). In this case I assume that you've a configured DNS proxy.
    If yes please login a s user root and edit
    /var/chroot-bind/etc/named.conf and in the same
    directory named.conf-default.
    Search or "forwarders first;" and change it
    to "forwarders only;"
    Restart named "/etc/rc.d/named restart"

    Let us know if that did the trick!

    It may happen that bind always tries to reach the
    root nameservers if the forwarders were not
    reachable, but it doesn't fall back anymore!

    We work on this issue!

    Hi Oli,

    I'VE GOT IT!

    First I didn't switch on the DHCP-Server. So nothing was working.

    But then I tried out to use DHCP and I had to fill in the DNS-Servers of my provider and that was it!!!
    As I had this new servers in, I could connect with my client PCs.

    Now I'm going to configure the filter rules and so on - I hope it will work as I want it to work!
