today I've installed ASL 3.2 as a replacement for old Gateway. Now I've the following phenomenon:
eth0 - is the internal Interface eth1 - is the Interface on which DSL is terminated
I configuring the eth1 interface for use with PPPoE and set up an masquerading rule.
The Link-LED on my DSL-Modem says that there is a link between the Astaro Box and the Modem. But when I pinging the Nameserver of my ISP the ping doesn't work. When I now pulled out the network Plug of the Modem and back in, then pinging again I get an answer.
After a reboot the unplug, plugin doesn't work. I've to destroy the Masquerading-Rule and the Interface, and reconfigure it with the same parameters as before, then pull out the plug and put it back in. Than the connection works.
My ASL Box is a 1.2GHz Celeron with 2 Intel Etherexpress NIC's.
Does anyone have the same phenomenon?? bye Matthias
