Blocking MSN Traffic

I want to block MSN traffic. How do I do that?
When MSN is configured to use a proxy-server my rules doen't work. When it's not it work. Do I have to configure Squid...or something else?

    Do you want to block all of MSN Instant Messenger, or just parts of it??  If you want to block the ENTIRE app you will need something like Tiny Personal Firewall, which does S.P.F on an application basis. (Do not use this as a substitute for ALS!!! Use it in conjunction with ALS, as it has some pretty kewl tools built into it for monitoring local PC activity.)
