smtp forward

Hi,

my scenario: My mailserver is inside the internal network (192.168.2.x). At the dmz there is a smtp gateway (viruswall) (192.168.1.x).

Now I want my mailserver to forward all mail to the viruswall. With a smarthost it does not work.

Is it a problem of SNAT? The gateway of my mailserver is ASL. Can I forward port 25 from ASL to the viruswall?

    What smtp server are you using?

    exchange 5.5 and 2000 have smtp connectors. you can create a smtp connector with the address space of * and the smart-host of the internal ip of ASL and the weight of 1 and it will then route all mail to ASL first...

    this is for M$..  i am sure other smtp servers have this sort of configuration ability...
