GRE (Protocol 47) Pass-thru support?

Greetings.

I am trying to terminate my PPTP connections on a M$ Windows 2000 Server behind my Astaro firewall.  It seems that my problem lies in the GRE protocol not being passed (or forwarded) thru the Astaro firewall to my Windows 2000 server.

I have tried a number of things, including compiling 'IPfwd' staticly on another machine and then scping it to the Astaro box.  Once I got the binary to the Astaro box, I made sure that GRE was setup correctly in the Astaro packet filter.  After making sure everything was setup correctly, I ran IPfwd to forward the GRE protocol to my PPTP server; however, with out luck.

Has anyone been able to get a PPTP server to operate correctly behind an Astaro firewall?

    I think I am having the same problem.  I can't seem to get past the "verifying username and password" stage.  Is this what you are getting?  My understanding was that you could login but do nothing else if GRE forwarding wasn't happening.
