I'm sure I'm doing something wrong with setting up masquerading here, but I'm really not sure what. Could someone either point me to some documentation that assists in setting up Masquerading on 3.031 or offer some advice? I've got both network devices (internal and external) set up. The default gateway of the external (eth1) NIC is set to my provider's gateway and the default gateway of the internal (eth0) NIC is it's own address, 192.168.0.1. I can ping things on the public internet or my internal network from the ASL box. I can also use the http proxy. For masquerading I've set up network definitions of External Network, External Interface, Internal Network, and Internal Interface. The External and Internal Networks are .0's with the appropriate netmasks, /24 and /23. The External and Internal Interfaces are the actual card's IP address, each set with a netmask of /32. The NAT rule I have reads as follows:
Name: Masq
Match Parameters: Internal Network -> All / All
SRC translation: MASQ__eth1
DST translation: None
Would someone be willing to help me figure out what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks...
-Steve
