ASL Dropping connections!!!

I have approx 20 users behind ASL which is connected to a Frac DS-3 line.  I am positive that my connection is rock solid, yet users experience connection drops throughout the day, especially from application like AIM.  I am currently not using any Proxy Services, just packet filtering.  Any idea why this happens????  ASL is 2.016 running on PIII 1 Ghz with 1024MB of RAM and Intel 82558 NICS.

My users are noticing this and are complaining as usual.

    I am also having a problem with users lossing the connection.

    I have found the following scenerio - when connected to AIM they loose the connetion after a few minutes. after waiting about 5 minutes the connection comes back and is OK until the chat again. The connection is then lost.

    I think ASL is seeing AIM traffic as an intruder an blocking the IP until the traffic stops.

    The users loosing there connection are on win98, Win2k systems don't loos the connection. I was going to re-install TCP/IP and make sure they have the latest ver of AIM.

    If anyone has any ideas they would be apreciated.

    I am trying the following, since reinstalling TCP/IP and a new AIM software did not work:

    Created a service def for AIM port 5190 as src and dest.

    Created a network for IP of login.oscar.aol.com
    (64.12.161.185) 255.255.255.255

    Created a rule AIM-Server AIM LAN Allow
