Can someone pls explane this to me (Gateway)

Finaly i got it to work got a old motherboard
Here is my problem with understanding i have read this and still dont understand it

where is the gateway is it 10.0.0.1 (witch i think it is)
When i want to filter ftp users say fiktive ip
1.2.3.4 to permit conecting to ftp how do i do that and reject 2.3.4.5

    Your gateway should be the internet router.  If you router is 10.0.0.1 that should be your gateway.
    You should have at least 2 nic's one for internal network (192.168.0.?) and one external that is on the same network as your router.

    The gateway for the Fun PC and the FTP server would be the Astaro firewall.  The default gateway for the Astaro firewall would be the Cisco router.  Just remember the default gateway for any computer is the router/firewall/whatever is connected to the same network as your computer and another network.  In this case the gateway for 192.168.0.0 network is the Astaro firewall.
