Keep Locking myself out of https://adminsection

After the successful installation I always get into the https://adminsection.

I make the following changes to the interface.

1. add the ip of the external network card
2. add the proxy/dns entries so my external card can access the internet.
3. setup the network with the following ranges for my internal and external Nic card.
192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 - internal
216.158.41.0/255.255.255.0 - external
4. enable http proxy with transparent mode turned off.
5. masquerade my internal to external nic card for proxy setup.

After those changes, I can never access the https://adminsection again.

What am I doing wrong?

On other quesiton, for proxy setup, should I use transparent or non-transparent mode?

Thanks for your help in advance.

  • cbarone,

    can you ping the firewall?
What is the browsers error message?

The question about transparent or standard mode
    depends on your needs.
If you use transparent mode you cannot use
the user authentication. FTP doesn't work either.
This is why most download pages offer HTTP download.
