Will SNAT assign virtual IP to VPN clients?

Hi all,

I have 2 interfaces on my Astaro. One is linked to internal and the other is to Internet. Can I set SNAT on packets from internet(acturally it's from dial-up VPN client) to internal? I've set one, but seems it doesn't work. If not, how can I assign NATed address to VPN client?

Thanks,

  • Try PPTP and assign address from a PPTP Pool...

If you are using IPSEC with Roadwarrior client there is no way to assign a NAT address to a unknow IP address.

PPTP works great but the authentication is really bad (user/password with local DB). If this threat is not considered a high risk in your organization I really recommend to use PPTP, especially if you have Windows clients.

    Patrice.
