DHCP Patch Question

Fellow Astaro Users,

I just got Astaro 2.0.16 up with my cable modem using the DHCP patch, and it's working great. Now, for my next trick, I wanted to allow an FTP server to run inside my network, with access available to a limited amount of machines that are external to my network. That is to say I'd like to FTP to my home box from work, and have the ability for my family to do the same. 

Does any one think I'd run across any problems adding a line to the end of my updateip file that read:

'echo X#Firewall:$ip#255.255.255.255 >> /etc/wfe/conf/netdata'

And then adding a DNAT rule for my internal box?
