incorrect address resolution, maybe DNS

I have a server that resolves to the wrong address. If I ping it by it's name (i.e. Randy) it resolved
                              to the proxy's IP, but I can ping it by it's physical address fine. I'm using masquerading with class B
                              internal and class C external with a series of different operating systems (which doesn't really
                              matter to this situation). Can you help? Thanks.
