Hi all,
I've read every post in the FW,Routing Forum and all of the FAQ's. Hope someone can set me on the right course. Here's my situation:
ISP Gateway-xxx.xx.203.1
Assigned Static IP Address - xxx.xx.203.90
Linksys Router using DMZ setting
Linksys Router Gateway - 10.0.0.1
Linksys DMZ set to - ETH1 (External)10.0.0.2
ASL Default Gateway - 10.0.0.1
ETH0 - 192.18.1.1 my Internal Network
ETH1 - 10.0.0.2 - External
ETH2 - 192.168.2.1 - DMZ
Transparent Proxy works fine to connect all of my Internal Network to the web. My problem are:
1.) Why would I be unable to connect my DSL ethernet cable directly from my DSL Modem to the ETH1 NIC (External). For some reason I have to use the Linksys to get a connection out. I had been given advice previously just to lose the Linksys, but unable to connect directly.?
2.) I am unable to access the webserver (192.168.2.99) from outside the network,(the web) or from within it. The error in the browser is:
The following error was encountered:
Connection Failed
The system returned:
(113) No route to host
The remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again.
The webserver is a Cobalt Raq running DNS, POP, HTTP, etc.
I have set rules such as:
From: any - Service: any - To(Server): Cobalt(192.168.1.99) - Action: allow
with no success.
Can anyone give me any pointers??
Thanks,
Frank [:)]
