I've a simple setup, an astaro box with 2 nics, a linux box behind firewall serving web/mail/dns services all properly DNAT'd from astaro and works fine. The other box behind firewall is a windows 2k box which is general purpose use computer. There are no problems whatsoever with linux box. However, the windows 2k network locks out, meaning i can not access the internet however i can ssh internally to my linux box and access the net using lynx from there but the windows 2k computer will not load any website or make any other connections. I've tried a different approach and enabled socks proxy and http proxy. Now the program which is once connected through socks will remain functioning during lock out i.e mirc but I can not load any Internet website. The lock out happens randomly and more than often. Lasts for like 10-15 mins during which i can not access outside world. I then restart networking in win2k and after various attempts it would be able to make internet connection to any website and the box will access the outside world completely i.e ftp,ssh,http etc which proves that all rules are correctly set up in firewall.
However this lock problem is beyond me.
I'm using the latest version of astaro.
3 com nics
firewall ip for internal interface is 192.168.10.1
linux box : 192.168.10.5
windows box : 192.168.10.3
Strangly no problems with linux box .
Can anyone help me out here? any more info needed please let me know.
