More than one connection to the internet

How is it possible to have more than one connection to the internet. If you have one high-speed connection for surfing ect., and one slow (but safe) connection for sec. dns services and so on. From the internet, i can only "ping" the nic hwo has the "default gateway"

    if you have cisco routers then run HSRP on both the routers and u will get one Virtual IP which u can use to go out of the network.
    For more info visit www.cisco.com  
    or else u can use a similar compatible protocol on any other make
    or do policy based routing....
