Subnet Mask of Single machines

Hi,

I'm trying to limit astaro access to my internal network and my work machine. The general definition for and internal network works fine, i'm just having difficulties setting my work machine up (single ip). I've tried the ip with a subnet of 255.255.255.0 and just get ip donesn't make sense with hostroute. I saw somewhere about setting up single machine with a subnet of 255.255.255.255 which gives me no errors, but on setting astaro to only accept connections from there it doesn't work (denied).

Can anyone help.

I think you are in the right direction; furthermore, once you defined a host with a definition like:

host1 a.b.c.d 255.255.255.255

you have to set a SNAT (if your purpose is to let ONLY that machine use the web) or a DNAT if you want that machine to be accessible as webserver, mailserv or whatever.

the just add a packet filter rule to allow the connection and you're up.
If you need further informations please post what your machine should be allowed to do in more detail and I will ber able to better help you.
