SNAT help not much help

Astaro 1.8:

The SNAT help says "See the NAT HowTo for more information about SNAT, DNAT and Masquerading".

The help for DNAT and Masquerading seems pretty good.  But SNAT cops out.  Where is the HowTo SNAT help refers to?

    the SNAT online help was significantly expanded in 1.9 (2.0 beta)

    I'll post it here on monday. Meanwhile you might want to check out this:

    A_NAT_Primer.pdf on http://docs.astaro.org 

    - a generic what-is-this-NAT-thing-anyway document and "what can I use it for" ?

    also check out the english manual there.

    Thanks for the primer.  I read it moments ago.

    I did/do have masquerading working and DNAT for a mail server.  However, I just did not see where SNAT cames seperate from masquerade.

    As a matter of feedback, I like to see help screens that specifically address how the configuration fields are used including example configurations.

    You meantioned v1.9, but I only see v1.8 shipping and the download for v2.0.

    2.0 Beta is "build" or "Up2Date Level" 1.9xx internally.

    We will probably redesign the online help scheme on the next major version, thx for your feedback  [:)]
