filtering issue

Hello Guys...
            This is my problem for the day! I am trying to specifically block an internet  host with my asl. I get to create the host definitions (name, IP address/mask)in "definitions". When I go to "packet filtering" and attempt to create the rule for denying this host from sending me data on port 80, it does not appear in the drop down box for me to choose. I went back to confirm that I did successfully create the host and sure enough it is there.
  As usual I am always greatful for your input.....Ben

    Hi Ben,

    Sorry, but a few more informations would be great, especially about your ASL Version and the network definitions you use for creating that host.

    In normal case ( I just tried  [;)]s:
    Going to Definitions/Network and create a host entry 

    BADBOY 127.0.0.1 255.255.255.255

    Now create a host entry for the external Interface of your ASL:

    IF_ASL_EXT 10.10.10.10 255.255.255.255

    Then go to Packet Filter / Rules and create the following rule:

    BADBOY HTTP IF_ASL_EXT Drop

    I think that should work fine ...

    Dude,
                 I have no idea why it did not show up last night , I have done this many times and it worked like a charm. I just logged in a minute ago and now my "network" I created so I can block it is showing up. Anyway thanks for your feedback. 
      Now if I can only get some help on my previous two postings  [:)] ...ben
