Directplay NAT?

Quick question about Directplay. I'm using Battlecom to talk to my team when we play Counter-Strike. Internally I am 192.168.x.x and outside I am going to 63.111.111.x. So I am on a hiden NAT. Will this work in Astaro? I had to create a static NAT in Checkpoint, wanted to find out if anyone has done this before.

  • you'll have to create some static DNAT mappings. From the "Knowledgebase":
     http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q240/4/29.ASP

    quote:

    Using DirectX 7
    Initial TCP Connection 47624
    Subsequent TCP Inbound 2300-2400
    Subsequent TCP Outbound 2300-2400
    Subsequent UDP Inbound 2300-2400
    Subsequent UDP Outbound 2300-2400

    Using DirectX 8
    Initial TCP Connection 6073
    Subsequent UDP Inbound 2300-2400
    Subsequent UDP Inbound 2300-2400

You must enable all of those outbound, and do DNAT mappings for the UDP ranges and the TCP port. Should work then. Have fun fragging
