Resolve Azure DNS

Hello community,

im sorry if this is the wrong forum.

We have a costumer that we plan to fully migrate into the azure cloud. There is no hardware, other than the UTM, a Switch and the Workstations onpremise. Now im encountering diffrent problems, probably regarding DNS.

Workstations are fully Azure Joined, Primary DNS is the UTM. DNS Forwarders are 8.8.8.8 and assigned by ISP. It is at this point, not possible to resolve 2 workstations.

WS1 can not resolve WS2. Both are, as said, Azure Joined, both communicate over the UTM.

Now... i know that the UTM cannot replace a full DNS Server.. id just really like it to.
Has anybody attempted a similar scenario and if so, how did you resolve this issue? Is there a public Azure DNS i can forward my requests to? At this point im considering renting a VM in the cloud thats running DNS role... which doesnt even sound that bad anymore.

Cheers
