IPS: Apple and Windows Update = high latency.

When I update Iphone / Ipad's behind the UTM, in all interface and routing the latency rises to over 400ms. The same happens with Windows updates.
If I switch off the Office Scan at IPS, everything is fine and the latency doesn't increase.

I don't understand why yet.

Hallo Sascha and welcome to the UTM Community!

What you are seeing is to be expected. Rather than disabling Snort, make an Exception to not scan the traffic from Apple and Microsoft update IPs.
