Google SMTP not working

Hi,

I would like to setup Google SMTP with my gmail id and password but it is not sending emails. Here is my setup:

I created DNS Host with the host name of smtp.google.com

Now in Management--> Notification --> Advanced, I created the following:

SMTP server: Selected my newly created DNS host

SMTP Port: 587

Use TLS: Checked

Authentication: my gmail user id and password.

Now when I go to Admin Notification log, it displays the following error message:

warning: relayhost configuration problem
102BA23A91: to=<MY_GMAIL_ADDRESS@gmail.com>, relay=none, delay=323867, delays=323867/0.5/0/0, dsn=4.3.5, status=deferred (Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name=smtp.google.com type=A: Host not found)

Also when I go to Network Definition, it says "unresolved" in front of my gmail DNS host.

Can someone please help me resolve this issue?

Thanks
