AvpDaemon - too much memory for single process error

We have the following problem with the AVPDeaemon.

> Too much memory for a single process:
> 50204 kb for ./AvpDaemon -f=/opt/AVP /tmp
> root      2800 49.6 19.4 50204 49952 ?       R    11:41   0:07
./AvpDaemon
> -f=/opt/AVP /tmp

> System Uptime: 67 days 12 hours 30 minutes
> System Load: 0.75
> System Version: Astaro Security Linux  3.210
> License: Professional Version

The machine has 512 MB RAM installed. Is it possible to adjust the warning level for the AVP or can one only get rid of the problem by installing more RAM in the machine?

    I've got a similar message today:

    37964 kb for ./AvpDaemon -f=/opt/AVP /tmp
    root     23892 37.0 14.7 37964 37756 ?       R    10:22   0:06 ./AvpDaemon -f=/opt/AVP /tmp


    Last WebAdmin login: admin at 04/14/03 from 191.1.1.3 
    System Uptime: 39 days 19 hours 1 minutes
    System Load: 0.84
    System Version: Astaro Security Linux  3.214
    License: Professional Version 

    My system memory is about 256MB SDRAM.
    I guess, it's a system limit, that can be defined in
    a config file.
    But I don't know where. I wrote an email to
    O. Desch and as I know the good service from Astaro
    I will get an answer that will help me to solve the problem. Then I will discuss it here.

    Hi alltogether,

    if it happened once don't worry, it is a warning only. There is a hard limit for the notification
    in V3 and in relation to the amount of available RAM limit in V4, have a look at /etc/wfe/conf/selfmonitoring. 
    (for all processes)

    We have experienced a problem with the anivirus scanner with some, not more detailed specified,
    types of attachements which leads exactly to the described behaviour. (V4)

    We were in contact with the antivirus software vendor and we have received an updated
    version which addresses this issue. We will announce an up2date soon, it is already under testing.
