Hi,
Just wanted to express minor frustration that I've had today with the UTM. Some time ago our primary node died and the slave took over the traffic, this was done during the period of 9.312.006 patch. In the meantime due to large amount of traffic and criticality of the system we were unable to patch to latest version until we got our redundant firewall node.
Unfortunately by the time we've received our redundant node we have had some issues bringing up the HA cluster back on. The up2date function did not bring the firewall up to the current version on the active node (9.312.006). It was always stopped on 9.311.003
2015:07:27-21:09:40 psh-fw1-1 ha_up2date[10016]: starting system up2date to '9.312006'
2015:07:27-21:09:40 psh-fw1-1 ha_up2date[10016]: No up2date path to '9.312006', try to fix it
2015:07:27-21:09:40 psh-fw1-1 ha_up2date[10016]: calling /sbin/audld.plx --types=sys --ha-override --proxy 198.19.250.2:9009
The only file we were able to find was 9.311.003 to 9.312.008 patch. This small problem forced us to update the master node to latest version and then upgrade the slave node so it is synched to the master node.
I know that some updates are made obsolete, but it's not quite okay to remove up2date files when other users might depend on them.
Cheers,
P.
