Dead node reimaging - Log files?

Hello,
we had to re-image a customers dead UTM node because of file system errors. That was successful and pretty painless (love the automatic up2date function for the new slave in autoconfig).

Now I'm wondering why we see such a big difference in used disk space in "log" and "data" between the old master and the new slave node:

Looks to me like the logs have not been copied over from master to slave, shouldn't that happen automatically?

Thanks and best regards,
SA

  • It could possible be due to temp file differences.  Does the status show as syncing?

Yes, the status is OK and syncing.

It's a little odd that the SWAP sizes are different, which closely equals the difference in size that you see in the partition sizes.

Yes, they have definitely changed something in the partitioning scheme starting with 9.3+

Maybe I should try a manual node switch to check the log files. [:)]
