URGENT - Can't get DHCP started on my Astaro Firewall appliance

Gurus,

I'm unable to connect to my Astaro Firewall via WebAdmin and it isn't assigning IPs. I tried to restart DHCP and receive the following error.

/var/mdw/scripts/dhcpd start
no iterfaces as arguments found in file /tmp/dhcpd-interfaces
{ failed }

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If this is a brand new install, DHCP is NOT enabled until after you've run the initial setup wizard upon first connection to webadmin. You would need to manually configure the network settings on the client for the first connection to go through this wizard. If this is an existing install that you've run for some time, your best bet would probably be to reinstall from ISO, then restore a config backup, since you don't have access to webadmin (have you tried manually configuring an IP in the correct address range on your client system, then trying to connect?). If you do not have a config-backup, then you can both backup and restore from the shell (download to your client system via WinSCP). See:

Be aware that the backups from the shell must be restored via the shell, same thing goes for WebAdmin based backups.
