Blacklist some DHCP addresses

Per the in-line help/admin guide, static mappings MUST be outside of the DHCP scope.  Reduce the scope in DHCP, then the static mappings will work.  Example:  Network:  192.168.1.0/24

Set DHCP to give out addresses from 192.168.50-254 and use .2-.49 for static mappings.

hmm that's kind of what I had before, where my DHCP was giving out addresses from 161-250. My printers are at 140-160. There is not enough room for the PCs in the free ranges above or below. So ideally I would like to give out IPs in 2 chucks from 20-140 and then from 161-250, this cant be done? 

I guess I can always move the printers.
I thought it was working because no one had any issues. I wonder if the DHCP looks for address conflicts before it gives out an IP, so as long as my printers are on, there won't be a duplicate IP given out.

IIRC, the UTM will try to ping an address prior to giving it out.  Do the printers respond to a ping?
