User authentication via AD

I am having a problem with group membership with my lab Astaro. I have a need to use (just for testing) Active Directory authentication for the UTM. I want to be able to use either DOMAIN\Username or username@domain.com to sign into my UTM, and have it proxy to my domain controller.

I followed the guide here, Fastvue Sophos Reporter Sophos UTM and Active Directory Step by Step Integration Guide, and I can authenticate users against the server, but when I try to add the group to "SuperAdmins", the object will not drop into the field.

Is this an intended limitation of the product, or is there a workaround?

WebAdmin 'Allowed Administrators' are limited to users known "locally" to the UTM. Go to the 'Advanced' tab of 'Definitions & Users >> Authentication Services'. At the bottom of the page, drag your Backend Group into 'Groups' in 'Prefetch directory users', [Apply] and then click on [Prefetch now]. Now, you can add the users individually to 'Allowed Administrators' in 'WebAdmin Settings'.

Awesome. That was exactly what I was looking for. It works perfectly. I was missing the last half, and I did not have prefetch enabled.
