DynDNS Not Updating (9.308016)

I am having an issue where the DynDNS feature is not updating. In the WebAdmin it indicates that it has not attempted to update since the exact time when I created and enabled the feature. I know it updated once after enabling it as my DNS records were updated. I am updating a Dyn Standard DNS account (which includes DynDNS). As far as I can tell my UTM simply has not attempted to update Dyn, not tried and failed due to a problem.

Any suggestions? I have already tried toggling the feature off / on with no success in forcing an update. I am running 9.30816 on an SG105w.

Hi and welcome to the UBB,
has you IP address changed. From my DynDNS it only updates when the external IP address changes.

Yes, My IP changed some time during the night and I don't see any changes in Dyn.

Search your System messages log for ddclient events, like:

2015:02:21-14:12:07 utm ddclient[5413]: SUCCESS: updating host.hopto.org: good: IP address set to 188.2.*.*

I'll check the System logs once I can physically access the UTM... My VPN connection is non-functional after the IP changed.

My UTM was acting weird (VPN was not responding) so I rebooted it and found the following log entry:

2015:02:24-16:50:49 remote ddclient[5399]: WARNING: cannot connect to checkip.dyndns.org:80 socket: IO::Socket::INET: Bad hostname 'checkip.dyndns.org'

This was from immediately after the UTM came back online. Could this be the issue for the DynDNS failing to update? I tried pinging that address and it resolves to .COM instead of .ORG.
