Is a DHCP clash possible?

Hello:

I notice this comment in the Help...

"To avoid an IP address clash between regularly assigned addresses from the DHCP pool and those statically mapped make sure that the latter are not in the scope of the DHCP pool"

Is DHCP really dumb enough to try to reassign an already defined MAC/IP?

or is this comment to be taken very literally that "if DHCP has already assigned an address, do not try to manually assign it to someone else until it is released"?

Yes, Tom, it is.[;)]  I think there's a feature request somewhere to make the DHCP server act like the Windows DHCP server, but there's no such thing as a "reservation" in UTM DHCP at present.
