Can't change SMTP server

We just setup a new email server and I wanted to change our UTM to send messages to the new server.  So I went to Management->Notifications->Advanced, and added the new server.  But when I click Apply it says "SMTP authentication username missing."  I don't need authentication on this server, so I have the Authentication box unchecked.

Next I checked the Authentication box and entered a username and password, but then I get this error "The external SMTP server for notifications authentication switch requires boolean data."

Is this a bug in 9.306-6?  Or do I have some other problem?

Thanks,
Jim
