Adding static ARP entries on UTM restart

The problem...
Using a VPN for remote access, the user is assigned an IP address on a different subnet to the LAN. Trying to send a magic packet to a workstation fails as there is no definable route.

Is there any workaround for this?

Hi,

Try an UDP magic packet instead of an Ethernet one.
Your hardware will have to support it.

There's no way to get raw ethernet packets to go through a VPN, afaik.
