One of our branch offices has an ASG120 which connects to the internet through a DSL modem. Currently, they have no wireless network at that office. However, the people working there have expressed the desire to offer a wireless network access to guests (visiting customers) that would allow visitors to access the internet but not their internal network.
Currently, their network looks something like this:

Our first plan was to replace the DSL modem with a Cisco/Linksys X3500 that can run both as a DSL modem, gateway and wireless access point. (Unfortunately, the Linksys device has already been bought.) When doing so, it also offers a guest wireless network out of the box that grants access to the internet but not the internal network.
But if the Linksys device simply runs as a DSL modem, with all routing functionality disabled, I do not think it will work as a wireless access point. At least, I think, we would have to the ASG to it with a second ethernet cable, so we can use one interface for PPPoE dialup, and the second one for connecting the wireless network to the cable-based network.
Our second option would be to leave the DSL setup as it is, connect the Linksys device to an additional ethernet port and use it as a wireless access point exclusively.
However in that case, we could not offer the dual wireless access. Or at least, I do not think that we could. The ASG could not distinguish between the two wireless networks, I think, all it would see is ethernet traffic coming from the Linksys router. So either we can grant the wireless network full access to the local LAN, or we restrict it to DHCP and DNS and otherwise allow it only access to the internet.
I apologize if I sound a little confused. I am, kind of. But does anyone know of a way I can offer the split Guest/User wireless network without throwing out the ASG?
