Missing Daily Executive Reports

I've been noticing that every few days it seems that Daily Executive Reports aren't being sent out (or at the very least received). Under Logging & Reporting --> Executive Report --> Archived Executive Reports, I am able to see the missing Daily Executive Reports in PDF Format, so that suggests that generation was a success.

My configuration has Daily, Weekly (Sunday) and Monthly Executive Reports enabled. I am also archiving PDF Reports. I am *not* sending reports, however, in PDF format. Finally, each box contains my single email address.

Is there a preferred way to check if there was a problem with the sending aspect? Perhaps a specific Log File?

In comparison, the UTM Manager hasn't missed a beat and it is configured the same way. Obviously a completely separate code line, however, I thought I'd mention it.

  • Have you checked the SMTP log files for the missing days?  If you have an Email Protection subscription, have you checked the 'SMTP Spool' tab to see if a recent item is still stuck in the queue?

  • I've checked the SMTP Proxy Log and I'm not seeing anything that highlights an issue. I also have Email Protection disabled.

Initially, I thought there could be a race condition between these two:
Reset password: Connecting to Confd was successful.
Reset password: Expired passwords successfully deleted.

It seemed as though when Expired Passwords came first, Reports were sent out and when Confd came first, they did not, however, I found an exception that ruled that out.

I never seem to miss emails generated by WebAdmin Logins nor Pattern Updates, however, now I'm beginning to wonder.

If necessary, I could supply a working and non-working SMTP Proxy Log.

  • It also seems that Weekly is falling into this trap. I noticed this on the Admin notification log, however, I never received this email. [:S]
