Need help setting up user network sign-on

I have Sophos Home. I need to lock down my home network to have everyone sign on before going on the internet.  I have played around with user portal but can't seem to get it to work. Can someone give me an outline of what to enable [in order] to accomplish this. I have Macs, iPads, Kindles, Androids, Windows and Linux boxes. I am missing something somewhere.

Is it possible to IP/MAC bind IPs  I have a static network. I have 2 kids that know how to lightly hack, so IP binding would be nice to stop new or altered hardware from getting used to get past my blocking new hardware

  • Ok I figured MAC binding, but I can not get a "user sign on page" in the browser to access the internet. Anyone has free rane on my network if they plug in or have my AP password.

  • You can use the Hotspot functionality in Wireless Protection with a wired interface.  Careful, every connection on that interface will have access regulated by the Hotspot definition.

    Cheers - Bob
