Hi,
I have the following network configuration as displayed in the attachment.
My LAN (Port 1) can get to the internet without a problem. It is running of the proxy server with integration with AD.
Port 5 is connected to the access control network which serves a connection to our asp for our building security. This interface works good and the connection with the asp is flawless. The system does not use DNS because all communication is done with IP addresses.
Port 7 is connected to the Internet and works fine. All connections from interface 1 and 5 can get out to the Internet.
Port 6 is connected to a small network that houses a couple of wireless access points. The astaro serves the DHCP server for this network and work ok; Clients are getting the IP addresses without a problem. I have configured the astaro to be a DNS forwarder for this wireless network.
The problem is that users connected to the wireless network cannot access the Internet. Below a list of facts and symptoms:
1. Interface 6 is not in the proxy allowed networks.
2. Performing a nslookup from the wireless network does work. The system can lookup internet addresses and reply with the correct IP addresses.
3. When pinging from the wireless network to Interface 6, I do get a response from the Interface (172.25.10.1)
4. When pinging from the wireless network to AAA.BBB.CCC.74, I do get a response from the address.
5. When pinging from the wireless network to AAA.BBB.CCC. 73, I do not get a response only timeouts.
6. When I ping this same address (AAA.BBB.CCC.73) from the access control network (172.31.4.4) I do get a response.
7. As far as I can see my firewall rules are setup correctly.
What could be causing this issue or where should I be looking to resolve this issue?
Best Regards,
DB
