Saving to usb from console

Hello, I have an old astaro box running 7.511 that i need to get the configuration off of in a viewable output. Ive tried with abf file but no luck with that, is there a command that i can run from the console and save the output to a usb drive? I would try it from ssh but for some strange reason it's not letting me into it.. Any help would be appreciated

Hi & Welcome,

The abf files are not human-readable.

Your best bet is to get a PC hooked up and connect to webadmin.

You can reset the webadmin passwords from the console if needed.

I can get into the webadmin, i just need to be able to export all those settings for others to look at, its alot of screen shots to take

In webadmin, there is a 'printable configuration' page, but it's not very human readable, and I'm not sure if 7.5 has it.

I was reading that version 8 has something like it but I cant find anything like that in 7

Yeah, it's not there in v7.

There's a little info in Support-Advanced.

You can also dump iptables on the console...
iptables -L -n

Hi, toggles, and welcome to the User BB!

The easiest way to do this is to use a backup file and restore it to a unit running V9. Make sure that the new unit has at least as many NICs as the current machine. If I had the same problem, I would use a virtual machine in my laptop.
