Setting up a trunk

Is this where I would setup a trunk 802.1q?  Do I need yet another NIC to setup a trunk?  Can someone shed some light?  Thank you!

    Hi, 

    You'll need to add another NIC, 
    OR connect to webadmin on the EXT/WAN interface, delete the LAN interface, and add a new interface as a VLAN ID
    Add more VLAN interfaces for each VLAN ID.

    Don't use VLAN 0 or 1 for anything.

    Trunk/tag the IDs on the switch port.
