Manage interface bandwith

Hi,

I have one simple question. One of my interface is dedicated to my Internet access and use PPOE. The link is asymetric. I want manage the bandwith of this interface.
Is it possible to define a bandwith for the input traffic and one for the output traffic. Can you help me to know what is "in" and what is "out" ?

Does "in" mean from Internet to my internal network or from my internal network to internet ?

    Hi,

    On the External interface, IN is downloads from the internet and OUT is uploads to the internet.

    You can use the QoS system if you want to limit bandwidth.
    Otherwise, please specify what you mean by 'manage bandwidth'.
