UTM with remote AP?

Dear Community,

we have a utm deployed on a site with various wifi access points connected to it. So far it works sufficient.
We are planning to deploy a bunch of access points on a remote location that is connected to the primary site with a microwave broadband connection. Therefore the access points have no direct connection to the utm as they reside in another subnet.
My question is: Is it possible to bring the access points online with the utm even if they are on a (routed) remote site, and if yes, how?
Our utm guy has problems to establish a secondary dhcp lease pool on the Ethernet interface which should service the local and the remote access points. He has also problems to establish a static route to the remote site on the utm. So again: is this a possible solution or do we need a second utm or those red devices?

    If the connection between the two sites is MPLS, then it would save you money to get a RED and replace the MPLS connections with a simple, fast WAN connection at site B.

    Your diagram can't work with Additional Address 192.168.21.1/24 on eth4.  Remove that and create a Static Gateway Route 192.168.21.0/24 -> 192.168.20.254.

    Agreed with apijnappels that you can route 1.2.3.4 to the UTM to allow the AP to connect to it, but that you have to have the router in site B do DHCP for that network if you don't invest in a RED.
