QoS Logical ?

Dear all,

I have 2x interface I want to control bandwith.
- LAN : no control
- Guest : fix limitation bandwith to 1024Kbp/s

If I understand well logic, I must :

- keep desactivated LAN inside QoS menu (to be sure not control)
- Activated Guest inside QàS menu with my bandwith limitation to 1024 Kbp/s ?

I don't want place a priority on this Guest interface, for me It's just a limitation.
I'm not sure if i'm clear ?

    Hi again, Thomas,

    To limit uploads from Guest to the Internet, put a Bandwidth Pool on the External interface limiting 'Guest (Network) -> Any -> Any' to 1Mbps and guaranteeing 10Kbps.

    To limit downloads from the internet to Guest, put a Download Throttling rule on the External interface limiting 'Any -> Any -> Guest (Network)' to 1Mbps.

    Does that do what you need?

    Hi bob,

    If I understand weel, It's not enought to use qos\status and enable interface with limitation ? Because is that I did for the moment.

    On this interface "guest", there are only HTTP traffic, do you think I must use bandwith pool instead of "status" menu like in my pic ?
