How to Manage Slave in HA Cluster

Hi,

Sorry newbie to UTM

2 x UTM320 v9.1.. High Availability Active/Passive Cluster
 
I have configured the master node and everything works as expected.

The WAN in on eth1, LAN on eth0.

eth0 has an IP through which the device is managed via WebAdmin

I can add the other device as a slave node by connecting eth3 and powering on the device and that all works OK

Questions are:

Can I still manage both devices separately via the single LAN interface or do I need to dedicate another interface for management on each node.

Is a separate management interface recommended and if so on LAN, WAN or both.

    There is no separate webadmin for managing slave nodes; all updates to config, etc. are handled by the HA daemon, and automatically synced over the HA interface.

    If you have a need to go into the shell on a slave node (I can think of little reason for this for an End User), you SSH into the Master node, and run HA_UTILS SSH
