I have gotten this unit as an emergency backup Internet source for our business. (CradlePoint ARC CBA750 Series with Integrated 3G/4G | CradlePoint) The unit comes with IP Pass-Thru built in. This works great when connecting to anything but a Sophos firewall interface. The IP Pass-Thru basically needs the interface connecting to it to be configured with DHCP. The unit will then supply the IP address information to the interface via DHCP and mask the external IP address from the backup unit to interface. This will allow all traffic to "pass through" the backup device and go directly to the interface on the firewall as if being supplied by a cable modem.
Currently I am setting up the interface as a Ethernet DHCP interface with IPv4 Default Gateway selected (this is needed with uplink balancing). After the interface is setup and I plug in the backup wireless router, the link status is "Error" and the state is "Down". When going into the interface setting it shows that it hasn't received any IP address settings. (VerizonBackup [Down] on eth1 [0.0.0.0/0] MTU 1500 · DEFAULT GW 0.0.0.0) Also clicking the Renew button for a new DHCP address does nothing.
