Use DynDNS domain from inside the network?

I am still relatively new to Sophos, and learning as I go.  I have DynDNS set up and working and can access RDP from outside the network (via phone, office, wherever) and it works great, except for when I try to access my domain name from internal.  Of course punching in the internal IP / Name of the server works just fine, but I'd rather have just the one entry in mRemote.  Also looking to do a webserver, and I know that this will also present an issue for that as well.

I have spent the last several days searching the forums, other networking forums just to get an idea on what needs to be done, but I am not finding what seems to me to be a clear answer.  Can someone help point me in the right direction please?

    Hi, kjparenteau, and welcome to the User BB!

    Barry, I have an example where I want the internal IP of an instance in Amazon EC2.  There's a parameter for ddclient that tells it to NOT query dyndns.org for the public IP, but instead simply take the value from the interface.  I saw that member GMF seemed to have gotten a local IP, but I don't think that option is available at present.

    Now I know what you where thinking about. You thought I got 127.0.0.1 for my dyndns-name in this post.
    The only thing I did is to edit my external-IP before posting. [:D]
