Hi All
i have been trying to resolve what appears to be the HA virtual_mac issue on a Active/Passive Pair of Appliances, running on separate ESXi 5.1 hosts.
So far I have run
/usr/locl/bin/confd-client.plx set ha advanced virtual_mac 0 on both appliances
have added
ethernet0.ignoreMACAddressConflict = "TRUE"
ethernet1.ignoreMACAddressConflict = "TRUE"
etc
to all nics on the appliances, which have all also been set to E1000's.
I have set Promiscuous Mode/MAC Address Changes and Forged Transmits to Accepted on all port groups of my DV Switch, as referenced in another post.
And then i have also rebooted both ESXi Hosts to clear the arp cache as suggested in the same post.
I have seen reference to this being a know bug under Mantis ID #25742, from link
https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/80/t/65174
Which states in the last update "We are planning to release a fix for this issue in Version 9.102."
Im now running 9.103-5 and this still doesn't work, and i have to keep the passive appliance shut down else i lose contact with any VM that happens to be on the same host as the passive appliance.
i am on a Home User License so i don't have a reseller to log a call.
Can any one please shed any light on why this isnt working...[:S][:S][:S]
