Testing email notifications

My email server has a slightly complicated configuration, and I'm trying to get email notifications to work. Is there a way to send a test notification message? Are send failures logged?

    Hi,

    IIRC, notification emails are logged in one of the logs, but not in the SMTP log.

    Tests:
    1. Configure uplink monitoring, and unplug the internet connection for a minute. After plugging it back in, you should get 2 notifications.

    2. if you have a supported UPS connected to the firewall (with USB), make sure it is recognized on the dashboard, and unplug the UPS from wall power, and plug it back in after 10 seconds or so. You should get 2 notifications.

    Since Barry's a better typist than I am, he isn't constantly reminded that a notification is sent when you try to login to WebAdmin with incorrect credentials. [;)]

    good point... I forgot about those.

    my typing is perfect, but remembering which passwords are for which servers is the hard part
