Guys I am configuring Astaro to use a trunk port passing 802.1q vlan tags going back to one my managed switches. I would like to connect Astaro to my cable modem vlan which uses DHCP. However, when I go in to create the interface I do not have a DHCP option all I have is a box to create a static ip. Does anyone know of a work around I'm running Astaro on a physical box I know if I would have did a vm I would get around this in 10 seconds. Now some more back ground as of right now I use Pfsense and I run a trunk back to my managed switch without any problems it will do DHCP on a Vlan interface. I do have one workaround I have an 8 port HP managed switch next to the Astaro box so I could run an 802.1Q trunk from the HP switch to my other switch. I would pass down a wan and lan vlans at that point I would just cable both lan and wan interface into the hp switch. However, I would really prefer to be able to pull DHCP on a vlan interface.
