Configuring 2nd WAN in UTM9

Hi,

UTM 9.004

I just upgraded from ASG 8.03 to UTM 9.004 and now I am attempting to implement a second WAN connection with a second ISP.

Currently, 3 VLANs using the same internet connection and need to introduce a second WAN.  I want to continue using WAN1 for VLAN1 and VLAN2.  WAN2 will be for the sole use of VLAN3.

The network adapters are assigned:
NIC1 --> WAN1
NIC2 --> WAN2
NIC3 --> VLAN1
NIC4 --> VLAN2
NIC5 --> VLAN3

I have been sifting through various threads on the forum but I am not getting clear picture of how to configure this.

Help much appreciated!
David

PS - I inherited the maintenance of ASG so I am on the steep learning curve [:$]

  • The easiest, most-comprehensive way to do this is with Uplink Balancing with multipath rules that bind traffic to a specific interface.  '{VLAN1, VLAN2} -> Any -> Internet' bound to WAN1.

    You'll want to change your masquerading rules to "Uplink Interfaces" so that everyone can use one interface in case one connection goes down.

    Cheers - Bob
