Sophos UTM 9

I just installed UTM 9 on a pen 4 2.0 1.5g 60g hdd computer with 3nics. I chose the live nic card for webadmin setup. I tried to login https://192.168.2.100:4444 and can't get a connection. Ping fails also. I've tried a Linux and windows 7 machine both with no luck. Any advice?

    Thanks for the reply. After setup on the main console screen it has the IP 192.168.2.100 and below it is where you can login. No logins have been created, and maybe I don't have the right PDF for setup (or missed it), but I didn't find a default login to it from console for setup that way.

    maybe you misconfigured the NIC name for "internal network". Go to UTM console ping your computer ip, changing the cable in all the 3 NIC's. When you got reply that NIC is used for "Interna Network" and put a stick

    I switched back to my smoothwall for right now but from what I can remember, and ill hook it back up in a few mins, I'm stuck at the login screen without a login to even ping. New install, 2 different nics 1 1gig nic 1 100nic. Picked 1gig nic for webadmin so cable is correct but I did try other for trial and error purposes.

    Smh...I hate embarrassing moments like this, but for the record I swear I tried typing root on one of the installation times I did. Lol So root password configured. Pinging 192.168.2.100 works. Now getting Ubuntu plugged into it to work so I can access webadmin.

    IP info is set correctly. The UTM itself seems fine, and my Ubuntu machine works great plugged into my smoothwall. It when I plug the Ubuntu machine into the UTM port I set for webadmin, the Ubuntu machine nor windows 7 grab an IP to even be able to access webadmin even if I turn the UTM off and Ubuntu off, turn UTM on until it fully loads and then turn Ubuntu on. The settings for the network in Ubuntu seem fine also. All of it is default. Any other ideas?

    Hi, you will need to configure a client IP manually for initial setup, and then you can setup the DHCP server in Astaro/UTM.
